This flashy looking product is so much more than just a styler. It’s actually a 3-in-1 product which allows you to trim, shave and edge all with a single device. It’s suitable for both the face and body, as well as being safe to use whilst in the shower. It’s small and compact design is great for maneuverability and makes it easier to reach those awkward places.
The trimmer itself comes with 3-interchangeable combs of varying lengths ensuring you can find one which gives you the look you want. The combs snap on over the trimmer itself and lock into place. They’re then removed by using a small ejector slider on the back of the device.
Once you’ve finished you can open the trimmer door and rinse it under the tap to keep it clean.
The device itself has enough weight to make it feel well built and sturdy, but it’s not too heavy that it’ll start to make your arm ache during use. In my opinion Gillette have got this just right. The entire body is coated in rubber to add extra grip which comes in handy when using in the shower. Metallic blue and silver accompany this which leads to a very aesthetically pleasing product.
The razor attachment is similar to the trimming combs and clips on the same way. It will come pre-installed with a single Fusion ProGlide Power cartridge. This will give an incredibly close shave just like the standard manual Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power razor would.
For me it felt a little weird at first purely because your holding the trimmer body as the razor handle, which is much larger and thicker than if you were using the manual razor on its own. However I quickly became used to this and it gave a clean, smooth shave as expected.
On the back of the razor cartridge you’ll find the Precision Edging Blade. This is great for adding finishing touches, reaching tricky areas such as under the nose as well as defining any clean lines that you want.
To top it all off Gillette include a nice organiser which allows you to store all of the components together in a tidy fashion. It’s also perfect for when your travelling as it keeps everything together.
Verdict
Overall the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler is a great all-rounder. It has you covered in every department from trimming, shaving and finishing up as well as being ultra-portable which makes it the perfect travel companion. It’ll only set you back £20 as well which is more than a fair price.
