As the company name suggests, CaseCrown offer a huge range of cases for all different types of devices including your usual array of smartphones, Kindle, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, iPad and also the Galaxy Tab. Today I’ve got my hands on the Bold Standby Pro for iPad 2, 3rd and 4th generation.

Bold Standby Pro Magnets & Hand Strap

Straight out of the simplistic packaging the CaseCrown Bold Standby Pro case feels absolutely great to handle. The exterior of the whole case is surrounded with a synthetic leather material which is durable and also water resistant. It comes in a variety of different colours including red, black, purple and a few others. CaseCrown has offerings for both the iPad 2, 3rd and 4th generations as well as the newest iPad Air.

On the back of the case you’ll find two stand slots which offers two viewing and typing angles ensuring that you can find the optimum position for whatever you’re doing. On the inside of the front panel you will also find and elastic nylon hand-strap which allows you to hold the device much more securely and is great if you’re holding a presentation. As you’d expect the case also contains a magnetic strip which activates the sleep/wake feature.

The case offers two-corner protection and therefore there are definitely more protective cases on the market but the Bold Standby Pro has balanced protection and aesthetics very very well. The interior of the case is lined with a soft microfiber material to ensure nothing can scratch your device.

Our Verdict

The Bold Standby Pro is a professional looking iPad case that offers good protection and even better aesthetics. The elastic hand-strap located inside the front cover is great and works a treat if presenting to people. The dual mount slots work exactly as they should and the case itself is pretty light. Instead of clipping your iPad into a holster you slide it under an opening which is then secured with hidden velcro.

This case costs $35.00 which is a fair price. You can check out CaseCrown’s other products or indeed purchase your own Bold Standby Pro by following the link below.
