iPhone 8 and 8 Plus Case Round-Up

iPhone 8 Case Round Up

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have been available to purchase for little over a month now and we’re starting to see case manufacturers catch-up and release their new cases. Before you go and splash out on an iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus specific case be aware that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cases will still fit the newest Apple devices.

With that in mind lets take a look at what I believe are some of the best cases that fit the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are on the market right now.

Apple iPhone 8 Silicone Case

Apple iPhone 8 Silicone Case

Apple have offered cases for their own devices for some time now and I have to say I’m a big fan of them. They come in lots of different colours, feel comfortable in the hand and most importantly they don’t add lots of unneeded bulk to your iPhone. It also helps that the silicone has great gripping properties so you won’t find it slipping off the sofa etc.

As it’s a fairly lightweight case it won’t protect your phone against huge/heavy drops, however, against short falls it should provide sufficient protection to keep the device from screen cracks and everyday wear and tear.

Ted Baker Cases from Proporta

Ted Baker iPhone 8We’ve covered cases from online retailer Proporta before. They have a huge selection of cases available for all sorts of devices from different brands. This time around we’ve selected the Ted Baker range for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

These cases have made it onto our top picks because not only do they offer protection, the cases come in all sorts of styles and designs, turning your mobile device into a fashion statement. From a sleek mint green folio case with a built-in mirror to a simple hard shell case with a unique Ted Baker design on the back, this range has lots to offer and is definitely worth checking out.

Speck Presidio

Speck is one of the brands that has been around for a while, and there is a reason for that – their cases offer fantastic protection.

The PRESIDIO collection comes in a few different varieties including “clear + print”, “clear + glitter” and also the standard black version (my personal favourite).

They are very simple but rigid cases which have been drop tested from 8-feet to 10 feet, depending on the variation you go for. They also have a raised bezel which helps to protect the screen if dropped face down.

With one of these installed on my phone I know I don’t have to worry at all about dropping, scraping or cracking my device.

totallee Scarf

Totallee iPhone 8 Case

I know a fair few people who just absolutely hate having a case on their phone, and if that’s the case (excuse the pun) then the totallee Scarf may just be for you.

Now before you buy this thinking it will protect your device from drops etc… it will, most likely, not. This case is super thin, so much so that you’ll barely notice it’s even there. It offers minimal protection but will stop your phone from getting scratched and scuffed up whilst in your pocket.

Whilst not the most protective case on the list, it’s certainly one to note if you’re not a fan of covering up your brand new iPhone, but don’t want it all scratched. Also available in a wide variety of colours, the totallee Scarf is available over on Amazon for £14.99.

So that’s my run down on some of my favourite iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus cases currently available. As you’re probably aware the iPhone X will be released in a couple of weeks so make sure to check back then for my first look at that plus some of the best accessories and cases.
