The case we have today is from a German company called Adore June. They create hand crafted iPad, iPhone and Microsoft Surface sleeves from fabric.
Currently on sale on their website they sell cases for a whole range of devices including those made by Apple, HTC, Microsoft, Blackberry, Amazon and a whole lot more. The cases aren’t your average clip on case and instead take on the sleeve approach.
The inside of the case is lined with a black fleece material. It is incredibly soft and also very thick which helps the case to grip your device and prevent it from slipping out. The exterior uses a combination of materials including a black cotton canvas and also blue grey denim depending which case you purchase. The fleecy inside will ensure your device remains safe from small bumps and drops but also ensure that the screen remains scratch free.
Most of the iPad cases you can purchase from the site will include a velcro strip which will also help to secure the iPad inside the sleeve. It works well and I had absolutely no problems using it. The iPhone cases don’t use any system like this and rely purely on the friction within the case to keep the device in place. If you’re purchasing the Microsoft Surface case for your device and you have they keyboard/cover installed then the fit will be quite tight but we have tried and tested and can confirm that it does actually fit.
Thanks mainly to the padding around the case, it feels great to carry around with you in hand, and is actually quite spongy. One thing we encountered with the iPhone cases is that when the sleeve system is used a handy pull-tab is normally incorporated so that you can more easily remove your device. Unfortunately this isn’t included on the Adore June product range and it does make removing your phone quite fiddly and sometimes a little difficult.
Overall the cases offer good all round protection for your devices. As they are sleeve cases you won’t be able to access any functions while they are inserted into them. But if you’re looking for a case to take on trips/long journeys and you prefer sleeves then Adore June produce some really nice covers which are definitely worth a browse.
It’s unfortunate to see that a pull tab of some sort isn’t included, especially on the iPhone cases. It makes removing your device a little harder than it needs to be, and a pull tab would solve this.
